How to become involved in the Leadership Team
If you would like to be part of the 2016 / 2017 season management team (but not take on the role of president) then simply send your name, and any accompanying information about how you feel you can contribute to the team to “Contact@expatries-triathlon.com”.
Leadership team members also help out posting and managing content for our Website, Facebook and other social media, as well as organising the picnics, training sessions and other ad-hoc jobs which pop-up.
How to put forward your candidature for President (elected role)
Applications are now open.
Any member with over 2 full years in the team can put forward their candidature.
To apply simply, send your name and any accompanying information to “Contact@expatries-triathlon.com”
Applications must be received 8 days before the date of the AGM (to allow notification of list of candidates will be sent out 7 days before)
Candidates will have the opportunity to present themselves to the team in advance using all methods of team communication (Weekly mail / Facebook / @training etc…)
Its important to note that the role of President requires a commitment to the club for at least 1 year.
How to Vote
All members (full and short term) from 2015 / 2016 season are eligible to vote.
The vote will happen towards the end of the AGM, after a short presentation from each candidate.
Vote will be done by secret ballot by those members present,those who will not be present, but would like to vote should complete the ‘Pouvoirs’ form and send this to “Contact@expatries-triathlon.com” (this will become available to everyone the week before AGM)
What will happen
Votes will be counted there and then, at the AGM, and the new President will be announced.
What is the role of the President ?
The role of the Président will change from previous years. Until now the Président has been expected to take on all major administration requirements, however from 2016 / 2017 season an administration position has been created within the team, which reduces the tasks required of the Président position.
This means the President can get on with leading the Club.
The new Président is expected to….
- Be a focal point and spokesperson for the club
- Lead in the strategic direction based on members input
- Be concerned with image and perception of club from the exterieur
- Manage the delegation of tasks
- Be dedicated to the team on a regular basis, often in contact with club members
What is the role of the Administration Role ?
It has been agreed with the 2015 / 2016 leadership team that Nick will take on the paid administration position, (facilitated through provision of a 4 year subvention from the CNDS).
We are please to announce that Nick has accepted this role, and is happy to work closely with the newly appointed Président. This new structure will compliment Nick’s existing ties and commitments within the Ligue IDF de Triathlon and the FFTRI, and improves the position of the Club.
